The successful candidate will be part of our Business Intelligence Practice, and will work on Business Intelligence projects at our customers' premises.

Your role will consist in:

• Conduct BI strategy studies with focus on Microsoft technology.
• Translate the requirements of the users into system requirements.
• Prepare technical design of data model, screen-design, report-layouts...
• Create technical specifications in detail for the programming team to start development and you follow up on the testing and implementation.
• Perform gap analyses to estimate the workload needed to develop system changes and you inform the team leader and user
• Analyze work request
• Assist the software team members with problems.
• Follow the clients' standards for programming procedures, naming conventions, documentation rules, change request handling ...
• Perform the necessary tests before programs can be handed over for user testing
• Project documentation, technical documentation, user documentation,...
• Follow the change management procedures and prepare implementation sheet.
• Analyze business problems together with users and translate to specifications
• Assist the user with preparing requirements for creating work or project request

Job requirement

• Master degree informatics or strong interest for informatics.
• You have a minimum of 3 years experience in large BI/DataWarehouse projects including a minimum of 2 years experience as a BI Architect preferably in the banking/insurance or telco sectors
• You have an understanding of the technical possibilities in the environment: Capacity to understand functional needs and translate them into data warehouse techniques. You have a good understanding of main business processes, Data Warehouse methodologies and Business and technical data modelling
• You have a basic understanding of project management concepts
• Knowledge in several of the following domains: Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Reporting Services Microsoft OLAP, Microsoft DTS, SharePoint Portal, Microsoft Visual Studio, MDX,

Knowledge of BO, Cognos, Microstrategy and other BI tools is a plus.

Fluency in Dutch and English.
